An air conditioner in Miami can pull many gallons of water out of the air every day. That water leaves through a small PVC drain line, and in our climate algae grows inside it quickly. A blocked drain is the single most common reason a system shuts off or leaks through a ceiling here.
We clear the full length of the line, flush it, clean the pan and make sure a working safety switch is in place.

Pour a cup of white vinegar into the cleanout every month during summer and keep to two maintenance visits a year. Avoid bleach on systems with metal drain pans or coils, since it can corrode them.
